Skai's Story

Chapter One; Skai, say bye-bye to School!
The six year old kid curled up in a dog cage, and sneezed. She grunted, as her old friend Angel had been freed by Max. Max hadn't known about Skai at the time. Tears rolled down her small face. Looking up, she noticed other winged mutant kids in the cages next to her. They seemed older than she...Her icy blue eyes wandered upward, looking into the cages next to her. "Hello?" she asked quietly.
No reply came just yet. Skai rolled her eyes. "Hey, you have to talk back to me. Please?" her voice tugged at the two older girls, forcing them to reply.
"Why don't you shut up?" said the nine year old. The eight year old muttered something to her, and she said, "Ohhhh! I'm sorry, kiddo. Lemme introduce myself. I'm Star, I just became a mutant freak, and I'm nine."
"Cool. Whatta 'bout the other girl? Oh, I'm Skai, I'm six, and I have been here almost a year, as a mutant freak. PLEASE free me!!!" Skai shreeked, finally shutting up. She needed to be strong. She sucked it up. Herself being emo, she needed to be strong.
"We're 'bout to break outta here," said the oldest one. "You could be useful, young one. We'll have such a great life as friends! Ready? They're opening the crates, and when they do, run to the doors of the School. From there, we'll fly away, mkay, Skai? Ready, Cocoa?" she said to the girl named Cocoa. "Okay....RUN!!!"
The three speedy kids dashed to the front of the School, but Skai froze at a cute bat suffering in a cage. She quickly unlocked the cage, and let the baby free to come with her. She held it as she ran into the only grass in the desert. "I can't fly!" she screamed to Star. Star swooped down, and gripped Skai as they took off into the actual sky. When they landed in a tree all the way in New York days later, the small bat flopped onto the floor.
"Um, what is that!?" Star shreeked. "How long've you had him?!"
"This is a bat. I found him suffering in School. His name is Silver..." Skai said, the floppy eared bat flopping out onto the floor of the tree. He shook, and eyed the three girls questionably. Skai didn't know that she'd made a friend for life.

Chapter Two; 11 years old, eh? Hey Skai! Where's Wing!?

The eleven year old Skai sat in the treehouse her and her Flock had built. Cocoa and her waited for Star to come home with McDonalds. Silver had just sneezed. Skai eyed him, giggling. "What?" he said. The School had enhanced him to speak, as well as become awake during the day, and sleep at night. He yawned, as he had gotten up at only six to eat his gummy worms. Skai's new 'fit was awesome.
A blue cute beanie, a tank top splattered with paint, and skinny jeans, black boots, and removable blue sleeves with black splattered paint. She loved it.

A fluttering startled her. A boy-mutant kid like them, had landed.
